1866: William Krueger opened the first store on Wisconsin Ave, downtown Neenah.
1896: William's sons Henry and M.W. entered the business, helping to establish the Wisconsin Retail Hardware Association.
1910: Business expanded to include a fine furniture department run by Henry's son Billy Krueger.
1938: James Webb married William Krueger's granddaughter Laura Barnett and began to serve as company secretary.
1940: Billy's sudden death led to the sale of the furniture department.
1941: M.W. Krueger passed away.
1951: Krueger's joined with Cotter & Co., a member owned hardware cooperative.
1960: James Barnett Webb became president after the death of his father, James Webb.
1970: J.B. Webb became association president of the WRHA.
1972: J. B. Webb made the decision to move the store to its current location, tripling the size of the store and providing ample parking.
1975: A new warehouse and service department were erected.
1987: The company purchased their current building, allowing them to expand into selling lumber/building materials.
1990: The store went through major remodeling, which allowed for more open space, new signs, and a new entrance.
1994: A new drive-thru lumber facility was built, and as well, the Just Ask Rental department was established.
2005: TruServ Corporation was renamed to True Value Company. The store also began another major remodel that promoted an easy to shop format.
2007 - 2013: Brian Webb, son of J. B. Webb, served as True Value's Chairman of the Board.
2008: Brian Webb was named President of the newly founded True Value Foundation.
2012: J. B. Webb, Sr. passed away.
2016: J. B. Webb, Jr. (President), Brian Webb (Secretary-Treasurer), and Sarah Cunningham (Vice President) are the current corporate officers of the Wm. Krueger Company. The company also celebrates its 150th anniversary this year.
